How to use the catalogue
Start with a product keyword such as “facial cleanser”, “software” or “footwear”. Broaden or shorten the term if no result appears. You can also search a known item code or a four-digit group code. Filter by class to reduce unrelated results, then use the similar-group filter to inspect neighboring items.
Select only items you need to discuss. The selection is a planning list, not a filed application. English labels help you navigate; the Chinese wording, applicable classification edition and agency review must be checked before filing.
Why the four-digit group matters
The local similar-group structure adds detail within the 45 Nice classes. Two products in the same broad class may require attention to different groups, while classification notes can connect goods beyond a simple numerical match. Our search exposes the group instead of hiding it behind a broad class description.
The group code is not an automatic conflict verdict. A complete assessment can require the mark, goods wording, classification notes and earlier rights. This tool searches goods descriptions; it does not search registered or pending trademarks.
What the dataset contains
This site uses a snapshot of the business's existing bilingual classification catalogue: 45 class headings, 495 similar groups and 32,668 item records. The snapshot was imported on 24 October 2026 from the same source used by the client portal. It is a working reference, not a claim that CNIPA endorses this tool.
Where an item has a China-specific code, the code is displayed alongside the wording. English translations and available entries may reflect different classification source editions; confirm the current acceptability of the intended specification before authorizing filing.
Turn selected goods into a budget
Choose items and review how many fall in each class. The estimator applies the published per-class filing price and additional-item charge. Filing multiple separately submitted marks multiplies the filing scope: for example, two marks in two classes represent four mark-class combinations.
Read the fee explanation before treating an estimate as a quotation. Removing an important product merely to reduce the item count can undermine the intended protection plan.
